چکیده

The field of low-voltage low-power CMOS technology has grown rapidly in recent years; it is an essential prerequisite particularly for portable electronic equipment and implantable medical devices due to its influence on battery lifetime. Recently, significant improvements in implementing circuits working in the low-voltage lowpower area have been achieved, but circuit designers face severe challenges when trying to improve or even maintain the circuit performance with reduced supply voltage. In this paper, a low-voltage ultra-low-power current conveyor second generation CCII based on quasi-floating gate transistors is presented. The proposed circuit operates at a very low supply voltage of only ±0.4 V with rail-to-rail voltage swing capability and a total quiescent power consumption of mere 9.5 μW. Further, the proposed circuit is not only able to process the AC signal as it's usual at quasi-floating gate transistors but also the DC which extends the applicability of the proposed circuit. In conclusion, an application example of the current-mode quadrature oscillator is presented. PSpice simulation results using the 0.18 μm TSMC CMOS technology are included to confirm the attractive properties of the proposed circuit.

High Speed and Ultra Low-Voltage CMOS Carry Propagation Chain using Floating-Gate Transistors

Abstract—Ultra low-voltage (ULV) CMOS logic for highperformance applications is presented. By applying floating capacitors we can increase the current level of MOS transistors for supply voltages below 500mV . The current level of the transistors may be increased by a factor 40 for supply voltages below 0.3V. Simple NAND gates are presented using different topologies. The NAND gates are exploit...

Novel Static Ultra Low-Voltage and High Speed CMOS Boolean Gates

In this paper we present robust and high performance static ultra low-voltage CMOS binary logic. The delay of the ultra low-voltage logic presented are less than 10% of the delay of standard CMOS inverters. The logic gates presented are designed using semi floating-gate transistors and a current boost technique. The boolean gates resemble domino CMOS. The performance and robustness of different...

Multi-input Quasi-floating Gate Mosfets with Analog Inverter Used in Circuits

The multiple-input floating gate transistors were used to simplify the design of multiple valued logic. The Quasi-floating gate node have a well defined DC operating point. The multi-input quasi-floating gate is used for low voltage applications because its effective threshold voltage will be controllered to a low value.
